Afroza Khatun started learning kantha work when she was 10, and was trained by her mother. Not only she participated in different exhibitions within India but also visited London, Dublin, Ireland and Germany. She also owns a stitching school and a unit.

Ohida Khatun is one of the young leading Kantha Stitch artists of Ausgram in Purba Bardhaman. Ohida has learnt the Kantha Stitch work from her mother. She has been weaving Kantha for over 13 years. She has showcased her products at different fairs and festivals across West Bengal.
