Kenjakura is a quaint village near the serene hill of Susunia in Bankura. There are around 330 families of weavers whose ancestors came and settled here 150 years ago. Women spin yarn using Charkha. Weavers, both men and women, traditionally make plain white yards of Maatha sarees, checkered and honeycombed hand towels Intervention of West Bengal Khadi and Village Industries Board have helped in skill upgradation of artists and now the artists make stole, saree, dupattas and other dress materials. The weavers are now included in the RCCH - II initiative.
