Murshidabad is a district of West Bengal with its district headquarters in Baharampur town. There are many places of tourist interest in the district including Hazarduari Palace and Nizamat Imambara. It is also renowned for its exclusive variety of silk. 

The district is a hub of the acrobatic dance form Raibenshe and Baul-Fakiri music. The district is home to about 169 Raibenshe and 793 Baul Fakiri artists.
