Tajkira Begum who started learning kantha embroidery from her mother and grandmother since she was 9 has stood out through her exquisite kantha work and has evolved as a confident entrepreneur. Being involved with this craft for the past 2 decades, not only she travelled all around India but also across India like Lithuania, Paris, Japan, China, France, Germany and Sweden. Presently there are more than 200 women working under her.

Lovely Bibi started learning this form of embroidery from her mother and grandmother from the age of 10. She is an expert in making traditional kantha. She participated in different exhibitions all over India. She also travelled to Europe to showcase her beautiful kantha products.

Afroza Khatun

Afroza Khatun started learning kantha work when she was 10, and was trained by her mother. Not only she participated in different exhibitions within India but also visited London, Dublin, Ireland and Germany. She also owns a stitching school and a unit.

Nurjahan Khatun

She is skilled in making intricate designs over various items such as – stole, dupatta, saree, cushion covers, bed covers and other utility products. Nurjahan has participated in fairs around Shantiniketan and other areas. Along with her own works and participating in fairs, Nurjahan has been a trainer for many basic training workshops.

Anjila has participated in fairs around Kolkata, Goa, Gwalior, Mumbai, Asansol and Berhampore. She was awarded 2nd by DRDC. Along with her own works and participating in fairs, Anjila has been a trainer for many workshops in Burdwan.
