Fazlu Chitrakar is a leading Patachitra artist of Chandipur. He started painting Patachitra at the age of 12 while he was in school. Fazlu has participated in fairs Kolkata, Siliguri, Baharampur, Jalpaiguri, Delhi and Udaipur. He is equally adept in singing Pater Gaan. Fazlu paints traditional Pat as well as paints on t-shirts, sarees and churidar. He has won the State Award twice and the District Award three times.
