Seeing the overall lifestyle improvements of the Paschim Medinipur and Purba Medinipur artists, artists of Birbhum and Bankura have also joined the RCCH - II initiative. The style of painting of Birbhum and Bankura is different from the painting style of Medinipur. The themes and songs are also quite distinct. Under the aegis of RCCH II, a total of 123 artists have been trained in Birbhum (Itagoria, Chandpara) and Paschim Medinipur (Nirbhaypur, Narajol). The trainings have been disseminated to revive the traditional style of Patachitra painting and skill transmission on Patachitra songs. The trainings also focussed on inculcating among the artists knowledge about different themes of Patachitra painting and how to modify their aesthetic presentations to achieve improved market fate. The artists were also trained on communication skills for better presentation. The Patachitra songs of Birbhum were also documented.
