Chhaya Mondal Sarkar a resident of Shahabhita village in Itahar Block of Uttar Dinajpur has been engaged in this craft since childhood as this art of weaving runs in her family. Chaya makes bags, wall hangings, table mats, runners and doormats. She is also skilled at developing fine thread, dyeing them and basic dimensions of a variety of products. She has participated in fairs in Goa, Shantiniketan, Murshidabad and Kolkata.

Saybba Sarkar is a resident of Bhelagachi village of Itahar block, Uttar Dinajpur. She has been practising dhokra craft for the last 30 years and has imbibed the art of weaving skill from her parents. She makes traditional carpets as well as bags, table mats, coasters, runners and other decorative items. She is also equipped in developing finer thread and dyeing them. Saybba has participated in fairs in Kolkata, Goa, Patna, Raiganj, Bardhaman. She has worked as a master trainer in many workshops.
