Kabita Sarkar is a new generation Dhokra artist of Chhatraghati village in Harirampur block of Dakshin Dinajpur. She has evolved as a master in weaving, interpreting and developing designs, dyeing and developing finer thread, making products and skill transmission to fellow weavers. She has actively participated in the Skill and Design Development workshops organized over the last three years under the RCCH initiative and makes bags, mats, wall hangings, coasters and doormats. She has participated in a fair in Goa.

She makes traditional carpets as well as bags, table mats, coasters, runners and other decorative items. She is also equipped in developing finer thread and dyeing them.
