Pradip Kumar Dey is 53 years old and a skilled Sitalpati artist. He started weaving Sitalpati at the age of 15. The craft of weaving mats is a family tradition for him. He practices the craft all through the year and this is his main source of sustenance. His two children are also involved in weaving mats in their free time.
