Santosh Bhowmick is a skilled Sitalpati artist practicing the craft since last 35 years. He learned the techniques of making the craft from his father and other relatives. Santosh can weave Sitalpati in 2-3 different styles using different coloured strands. He has developed yoga mats and other mats of high finesse. Santosh travels widely in lower Assam and North Bengal selling his products to different retail outlets. Santosh has also attended exhibitions in Kolkata.
