Traditional
The vigorous rhythmic body movements and acrobatics along with dancing with bamboo poles are the main elements of the dance form. No storylines were followed at Raibenshe shows at the beginning. Musical instruments like Dhol, cymbals etc. are procured from local markets. The costume mainly includes short dhoti tightly wore in a typical Malkocha style and a strip of red cloth tightly knotted around the waist. The artists also put on a pair of foot-bangle on their feet.

Contemporary
The artists continue their traditional format of dance. Moreover, they have adopted and introduced a new style of acrobatics and a few other elements like showing tricks with sticks, wheels, a ring of fire etc. The costumes have become more colourful and attractive. They use shorts, jerseys and scarves which they get from the local markets. The musical instruments, however, have remained the same.
