Tapas Kumbhakar is a resident of Panchmura village in Bankura. He is being practicing the art for over 30 years. He has learnt the art of teracotta from his father Anadi Kumbhakar and grand-father Shibu Kumbhakar. Tapas provides training at his residence where many students and other enthusiasts visits who wants to escalate their skills. He is an expert in making clay elephants and horses. Tapas Kumbhakar has also participated in fairs in Goa, Kolkata and Delhi.

Krishna Kumbhakar shifted to Panchmura, at his maternal Aunt’s place at the age of 4 after he lost his father. Since that time he started learning this art form from his immediate family. He specializes in making beautiful artistic models, terracotta mementos and visiting cards.

Baul Das Kumbhakar

Baul Das Kumbhakar is a resident of Panchmura village of Bankura district. He has been practising terracotta craft for the last 30 years. He has learnt the craft traditionally from his family. Baul is specialised in making of terracotta tiles of various sizes, plates, horses and other show pieces. He has participated in fair and exhibitions around –Delhi, Assam, Chattisgarh, Bhopal, USA, London and Russia.
