Mohan Tati, a renowned flutist, resides in the Bankura district of West Bengal. He learnt the finer nuances of playing flute by listening to the radio and honing his inborn skill as a flutist. Mohan performs with the Baul Fakiri and Jhumur genre of folk music regularly and has travelled accross the world including Denmark, UK, Germany and Japan and many other countries. Mohan also led folk orchestra group of Bengal to international festival on ICH in China. He has performed with leading world musicians including Sabina Rakachyeva of London.

Purna Chandra is a veteran baul singer from Purushattambati in Bankura district. He has learnt baul songs from late Narahari Das Baul who was his guru. He has performed in Assam, Bihar, Odisha, Goa and in Bangladesh.

Sadhu Das Baul, in his late twenties, is a young and enterprising Baul singer from Joydev near Santiniketan in Birbhum district. Sadhu started singing and playing musical instruments at the age of 10. His inspiration and guide was his father Lt Tarak Khyapa. Sadhu is a promising Baul singer who is also proficient in playing Dotara, Khamak, Ektara and Dugi. He has performed in many cities across India, including Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Silchar and Tatanagar. He performed at the Sur Jahan World Peace Music Festival in Kolkata and Goa and also in Urkult Festival, Sweden and Fagun Utsav, London.

Purnendu Das Baul

Purnendu Das, a resident of Paruldanga village of Bolpur, Santiniketan is a young baul artist and son of renowned Baul artist Rina Das Baul and Dibakar Das Baul.Being brought up in a musical environment Purnendu learned music from his parents and with time, evolved as a master instrumentalist . He is proficient in playing Khamak, Dubki, Dotara and other baul instruments. Apart from playing instruments, he also sings. In 2022, Purnendu got the oportunity to perform at the largest platform of world music WOMEX at Portugal and in 2023 he has performed in Respect festival, Czech Republic."

Bama Prasad is a leading young Baul artist from Batikar village of Birbhum district of West Bengal. Bama has spent time with the traditional masters of Baul music from his childhood and later got trained in Baul music and traditional musical instruments from Late Tarak Khyapa. Bama has a melodious voice and is a master in playing folk instruments like Khamak and Dubki. Pradyut Bala hails from a family of Hindustani Classical singers. He was initiated into classical music at the tender age of nine and gained proficiency over the years. He later developed an intense attraction towards Baul music and philosophy and went on to become a disciple of Harekrishna Das Baul. A resident of Ilambazar in Birbhum district of West Bengal, Prodyut has performed at various festivals in West Bengal and also in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh.

Khokon is the eighth generation of a Dhak and Dhol plyer's family, groomed in playing the Dhol, the traditional Indian drum, at a very young age by his father and grandfather. He was later groomed by veteran Dhol player Sidam Das and Pt Tanmoy Bose. Khokon has performed across West Bengal and also in Sacred Spirit Festival, Rajasthan, other fairs and festivals in Delhi, Mumbai, Goa and Assam. He has also performed in international festivals including WOMEX 2022 in Portugal, Urkult festival Sweden, Colours of Ostrava in Czech Republic and Bangladesh.

Arjun Khyapa

Arjun Khyapa of Goas, Nadia has been performing since the mid-1990s and is known for his melodious baritone voice. He has performed across India and mesmerized audiences in London (London Ananda Utsav 2010) and other cities in Europe. His solo album ‘Arjuner Gaan’ is a very popular one. Girish Mandal also known as Girish Khyapa, is an eminent Baul singer from Bardhaman district in West Bengal. He also plays various traditional instruments, including Dotara and Ektara. He has performed and conducted workshops across India. Girish performed at the International De Folklore De Noyon Festival in France and Transform-Trondheim World Music Festival in Norway in 2017. He also participated in a cultural exchange program with Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage in the United States and visited Washington D.C. as part of the initiative in 2018. There he attended the Smithsonian Folklife Festival 2018 and performed at the Library of Congress and Freer Sackler Gallery.
